About SpeakRoam

SpeakRoam is an independent guide for people who want to actually speak a new language, especially before a trip.

What we do

We publish practical guides (travel phrases, realistic study timelines, learning routines) and honest comparisons of the language courses people ask about most. Our focus is speaking and listening, because that is where most learners get stuck.

How the site makes money

Some links on SpeakRoam are affiliate links. If you click one and buy a course, the company may pay us a commission. It never changes your price. We explain the details, and how we try to keep that from bending our opinions, on the How We Review page.

What we are not

• We are not a language school and we do not offer lessons.
• We are not owned by or officially connected to Rocket Languages, Pimsleur, Babbel or any other course provider.
• We do not promise fluency in a set number of days. Nobody honest can.
